Yorkshire Water is seeking a Surveyor to join their team and support the delivery of the company's business strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for the acquisition of land rights required for capital projects or operational needs, advising on compensation claims arising from capital projects or bursts, delivering good customer service and minimizing costs to the business.

To be successful in this role, you must have a professional or AssocRICS membership of RICS, CAAV or extensive relevant experience. You should also have excellent negotiation skills and a demonstrable ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In addition, you must have an extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management and disposal of land and property including the Code of Practice. Familiarity with company IT systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Outlook, Odyssey, etc. is desirable.

**Essential**:

- Professional or AssocRICS membership of RICS, CAAV or extensive relevant experience
- A track record of delivering results against challenging targets
- Excellent negotiation skills
- A demonstrable ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as excellent team working skills.
- Excellent customer service skills
- A proven ability to work under pressure to meet tight timescales by good prioritisation and time management skills
- Clearly able to demonstrate Yorkshire Water’s behaviours
- An extensive knowledge and experience of the legal and regulatory requirements relating to the ownership, management and disposal of land and property including the Yorkshire Water Code of Practice.
- An understanding of property legislation and processes
- Strong competence with IT systems

**Desirable**:

- Familiarity with Company IT systems (SAP, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Outlook, Odyssey, etc.)
