Summary:
Newhall Mains, a charming small hotel, is seeking a friendly and efficient Hotel Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In addition to reception duties, you will assist with breakfast service and bar work, ensuring our guests have a delightful experience during their stay.

**Responsibilities**:
Guest Check-in/Check-out: Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, process check-ins and check-outs efficiently, and provide necessary information about the hotel's amenities and services.

Breakfast Service: Assist with setting up and maintaining the breakfast area. Greet guests during breakfast, take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure guests' needs are attended to promptly.

Bar Work: Help with bar operations, including serving beverages and snacks to guests. Ensure the bar area is clean and well-stocked, and handle cash or card transactions as required.

Guest Inquiries and Assistance: Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests' inquiries, offering suggestions for local attractions, and assisting with any issues or concerns they may have.

Guest Room Support: Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure guest rooms are ready for check-in and assist with any special requests from guests.

Maintain Lobby and Public Areas: Keep the reception area, lobby, and other public spaces clean and organized to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure a secure and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a hotel receptionist role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor to provide outstanding customer service.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of local attractions and points of interest is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 2 months
Part-time hours: 16-45 per week

**Salary**: £10.90-£15.00 per hour
