If you are an ambitions person who takes pride in their work, enjoys mentoring others, and leads by example, this role is right for you. Reporting to the Operations Manage we will provide training and support to progress your skillset and achieve success through the following responsibilities:

- Lead a dedicated growing team of engineers with direct chargehand reports.
- Develop strong relationships with internal team members and external customers.
- Prepare and plan workshop and onsite schedules to ensure deadlines are met on time.
- Closely monitor and improve operational efficiencies with continual follow up / feedback.
- Question potential ambiguities to avoid misunderstanding of works being undertaken.
- Monitor performance and quality to ensure work is completed, on time, in spec and within budget.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for structural steel (BE EN 1090-1)
- Forward planning and organising materials so they are in place, and delegate tasks accordingly.
- Control training matrix, mentoring fabricators, and overseeing apprentice development.
- Bringing awareness to problems and participate in improvement planning.
- Cover all monthly safety inspections insuring they are updated.
- Ensure all workshop and onsite operational fabrication of mild & stainless-steel parts is done in a safe manner.
- MIG and TIG Welding experience
