Yard Operative

**Hills Waste Solutions** have an opportunity available for a **Yard Operative** to join our team based in **Calne**. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£23,190.75** per annum alongside a great range of benefits, including:

**About the role**:
Reporting to the MRF Supervisor and MRF Manager, the duties will include:

- Maintain the loading and storage areas and keep the site area in a clean and tidy condition at all times
- Maintain the kerbside collected battery and waste electrical storage area, sorting items into the correct storage containers.
- Maintain pedestrian areas and keep them free of hazards
- Assist with the winter maintenance of hard surfaces

This role will be on working 40 hours per week 07:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday with a 30-minute break each day
There will also be a contracted requirement to work some Bank Holidays and up to 8 Saturdays per year.

**About you**:

- Good Hazard awareness
- Willing to work outside in all weathers
- Experience within a waste operation environment would be a distinct advantage.
