We are passionate about food and passionate about people, so we run cafés and a catering enterprise which produce delicious homemade food to generate much of our income.
The Catering Assistant role is part of our small café team REST, a café The Feed run in partnership with MIND. This position is a part-time, permanent role. It is for 6.5 hours a week, 11.15-2.30pm on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
You will be preparing and serving our lovely food for the café, ensuring food and presentation is of the highest standard.
Food safety is an important part of the role, taking temperatures, complying with all food safety processes, systems and paperwork.
You will be making and serving delicious drinks for our lovely customers. The café is at REST the mental health hub run by MIND, it is open to the general public as well as service users.
We cook all our food from scratch, so a basic level of kitchen skills is essential for making fillings, sandwiches/wraps etc.
Barista skills would be great, but we can train you. This position will see you busy behind the counter serving and interacting with our customers.
