Senior Induction Furnace Operator

We are currently looking for a Senior Induction Furnace Operator to join our busy team

To melt and fabricate daily scrap precious metal, using induction tilt furnaces, to ensure quality purification of metal for use in our production area. This is a physically demanding role.

**Senior Induction Furnace Operator Duties**:

- Use of high temperature induction tilt furnaces to melt and shape scrap, alloys, chlorides and oxides from precious metal sources.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance including furnace and filtration system maintenance
- Graining of refined and unrefined precious metals
- Comply with and enforce company health and safety policies and procedures
- Communicate directly with refinery lead to determine status of assigned projects
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Use of standard laboratory equipment required to accomplish this role (calibrated balances, XRF)
- Other duties within the Refinery as and where required (training will be given)

**Senior Induction Furnace Operator Requirements**:

- Experience of working in a foundry with precious metals - Essential
- Experience of using induction tilt furnaces - Essential
- Must be able to ensure accuracy, accountability, and be detail oriented
- Essential
- Must be able to use a computer, have basic word & excel skills - Essential
- Good awareness of Health & Safety - Essential
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change in work demands, and be self-motivated - Essential
- Forklift truck licence - Desirable (training can be given)
- Supervisory skills - Desirable.
