My Client is an independent full-service legal practice providing individual clients and businesses with top-quality legal advice and representation, at reasonable cost. Founded in 1966, the practice has grown to become one of the largest and most diversein West Sussex and the surrounding area and is now firmly established as a leading South of England law firm.
Main purpose of role: To provide administrative support to your principal to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency whilst providing a high-quality legal service to our clients. You will be expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative,complying with all relevant professional and regulatory obligations.
They are currently looking for a **Paralegal/Legal Secretary** who has experience in **Residential Conveyancing**. Salary is dependent on experience.
**Responsibilities**:
- to prepare correspondence and documents through audio and copy typing
- use of accounting and time recording software
- checking documents for accuracy
- costing of files for the purpose of cost update letters
- taking telephone messages
- making appointments, managing diaries and seeing to the reasonable requirements of clients
- use of photocopier, scanner and fax machine where necessary
- to prepare mail and enclosures for dispatch
- to provide support to other secretaries as and when needed during holidays or sickness
- to ensure the confidentiality and security of all documentation to comply with the new GDPR regulations
- to carry out other tasks as and when required by the LLP and/or your Line Manager
