Support the vision, ethos and policies of the Academy which secure effective teaching, successful learning and promote high levels of achievement and self-esteem for all students irrespective of background, ethnicity, gender or disability.
- To ensure a safe, calm and purposeful learning environment at all times.
- To support students in displaying the South Axholme Mindset.
- To support students in regulating their emotions and choices when in lessons or in dialogue with other students and adults.
- Provide support for students with significant wellbeing needs (EG - Trauma, Mental Health, Medical, and Attachment Issues)
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a bespoke curriculum to students identified who display behaviour for learning difficulties.
- To actively engage in the curriculum delivery including the delivery of enrichment activities.
- To assist with the effective and proficient use of student data from a variety of sources, both internal and external, in the process of target setting and intervention.
- To lead on parental communication and ensure that parents are well informed about progress, behaviour and attendance.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with parents, outside agencies and the local community.

**Teaching and Learning Role**
- Identify and teach study skills that will develop students' ability to work independently.
- Liaise with other academies to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring students with behaviour for learning difficulties.
- To liaise with the SENDCo to ensure that students with additional needs have their needs met whilst in the Centre
- To attend and contribute to meetings as appropriate
- To demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English.

**Assessment and Reporting**
- Set targets for raising achievement among students with behaviour for learning needs;
- Collect and interpret specialist assessment data.
- Set up systems for identifying, assessing and reviewing behaviour for learning needs.
- Update the Principal and Governing Body on the effectiveness of provision for students with special educational needs.
- Develop understanding of learning needs and the importance of raising achievement among students.
- Meet weekly with Pastoral Leaders to discuss the holistic progress of the students.
- Attend and arrange parent evenings and keep parents informed about their child's progress.
- Set targets for raising achievement among students with behaviour for learning needs, using relevant metrics to measure impact

**All Academy Staff Should**:

- Work with all students ensuring equality of opportunity for all
- Take responsibility for Safety and Welfare of all students, raising any concerns following the Academy protocols and procedures
- Work proactively and effectively in partnership with all stakeholders
- Carry out a share of statutory supervisory duties
- Treat students with dignity and build relationships rooted in mutual respect and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to the professional position

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
