Yard Assistant

**Overview**:

We have a vision for how we want to take our company forward and we are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy driving and providing excellent customer service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the company vehicle is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
- Assist in safely loading customers’ orders, ensuring they are secured correctly and within permitted weights and that you have everything on the order.
- Ensure deliveries are completed on time, in full on a daily basis, using relevant route planning tools and satnav when required.
- Deliver to customers and assist with unloading. Reporting any problems noted on arrival. Maintaining good customer relations.
- Ensure the relevant paperwork is signed for, and all payments are collected and accounted for at the office.
- Cutting and preparing ancillaries for customer deliveries

**Essential Skills & Experience**
- Clean Full UK Driving license
- Great communication skills, polite and professional with excellent customer service
- Can do attitude
- High levels of focus, energy and enthusiasm
- Good manual handling skills
- Proven experience as a van goods delivery driver

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
