First Achieve's Engineering Division have a fantastic opportunity for a Deep Hole Borer, to join their client's organisation, working within Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Defence & Aerospace industries.

As a result of their recent investments, they are seeking experienced, Deep Hole Borers to join their growing team.

A highly desirable trait would be to have experience within a Heavy / Large Machining environment, but not essential.

4 Day Week - Monday - Wednesday; 5:30pm - 6am, Thursday; 5:30pm - 3am.

**The Role**
- Operates one or more machines per operation sheets.
- Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
- Identify/segregate any non-conforming parts utilising the non-conformance reporting system.
- Perform necessary tool changes as prescribed in process.
- Gauge parts to drawings / job card specifications.
- Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Make necessary machine offsets as required.
- Perform setups based on process sheets and setup documentation.
- Perform 1st piece production first off check.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production/machining issues.
- Download part programs into machine controls.
- Other duties, as assigned.

**Experience**
- 1-3 years' experience operating deep hole borers.
- 1-3 years demonstrated ability to set up deep hole borers and various hand tools as required in a machine shop environment.
- Ability to read drawings, process documentation and inspection measuring devices.
- Ability to identify/correct production machining issues.
- Ability to maintain the required production rates.
- Being able to stand and walk around for the shift, will make reasonable adjustments to accommodate individuals with disabilities to carry out the work.
- Some basic knowledge of measuring equipment.
- NVQ level 3 in Engineering and/or equivalent or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role (desirable).
- GCSE A-D in English, Math's or equivalent (desirable).
