Title: Stock Control Manager
Package: £38,000 - £42,000 + >20 Bonus + Private Healthcare
Location: Buckinghamshire
Work Patterns: Monday - Friday (On Site)
Role Responsibilities
- Monitoring the entire stock cycle, making sure that appropriate controls and efficient procedures are in place at each stage, and providing business reporting on results and other stock-related data.
- Conducting reviews of all warehouse operations in collaboration with the logistics manager to make sure processes and protocols are optimised and followed correctly.
- You will be responsible for reviewing the distribution operation, looking for opportunities, risk and key projects that will improve operational effectiveness of the sites (E.g. Autonomation, Warehouse Flow, Robotics)
- Involving, developing and instructing the Stock Control & Administration staff.
- Working closely and productively with the HO teams to coordinate range adjustments, retail needs, IT upgrades, new product introductions, and marketing as well as sponsorship initiatives.
- Assessing and keeping an eye on stock control procedures to make sure they are being carried out to a high degree and within set KPIs.
- Negotiating with suppliers to get the greatest costs and keeping an eye on stock levels in the US and the UK.
- Providing managers with weekly and monthly KPI reports on stock holding so they can better grasp the dynamics of their business.
Experience Required
- An excellent understanding of e-commerce or retail distribution from order placement through delivery and return.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment dealing with large volume of stock.
- Great attention to detail in managing various administrative tasks.
- Good understanding of stock management procedures and effectively dealing with problems that occur connected to this.
- Track record of driving strategic improvement across the operations, leading on Continuous Improvement, Operational Development or Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Good knowledge of basic Health and Safety requirements
Technical Skills
- IT Literate, MS Excel (Advanced), Outlook and Access
- Lean Green belt or higher (preferred)
- Excellent numerical ability and attention to detail
- Good negotiating skills combined with commercial acumen and flair.
