Payroll Supervisor - Glasgow

Change Recruitment Group are partnering with our Public Sector client that is recruiting for a Payroll Supervisor. The position of Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for line management of the Payroll team on a day to day basis ensuring full compliance with all legislative requirements and reviewing and monitoring service objectives and standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the planning, prioritising and delegation of work and ensuring the Pay & Pensions Team are equipped with skills necessary for the proper performance of their duties.
- Responsible for co-ordination of all generated payments to staff and liaising with senior staff to ensure correct income received by the organisation.
- The administration of monthly and annual returns in respect of payroll and pension schemes and co-ordinate the production and delivery of data to third parties regarding all Pay & Pensions information in respect of all periodic returns.
- Provide information on payroll and pensions issues to ensure compliance with all statutory procedures, regulations and PAYE and pensions legislation.
- Providing accurate pay and pensions information for the statutory accounts and completion of ad hoc Freedom of Information requests.
- Reconciling payroll accounts within the Agresso ledger system, identifying invalid entries and determining corrective action, posting journals where required.
- Provide training and technical support for timesheet users at all levels throughout the organisation.
- Provide technical and administrative support to the Head of Payroll.

Background & Experience
- Detailed knowledge of payroll procedures and statutory legal requirements in respect of payments to individuals and government bodies
- Sound understanding of principles of Pay As You Earn (PAYE) procedures and bookkeeping
- Relevant payroll and team leadership experience
- Public sector industry experience desirable but not critical
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel

Salary range is £35,000 - £45,000 + generous pension, benefits & vacation with a hybrid working pattern etc.
