United Response has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our dynamic team in our supported living services. This permanent position is well suited to an experienced support worker or someone who is new to care looking to start their career who wishes to work with dynamic team supporting five individuals living in a bungalow close to all local amenities.

Making it happen
- your Role.

We have an opportunity for Waking Nights Support Worker role which is a key role in the day to day support where you will support people to be actively involved in their own lives. As part of the role you will work alongside the staff team to meet the needs of the people we support who have complex disabilities in a dynamic and interactive way. This will involve providing support with eating and drinking, personal care and medication as well as supporting people to access the community and maintain relationships.

United Response believe that developing an individual to become an effective member of staff requires much more than just training - which is why we combine high quality training with Practice Leadership. As a support worker we expect you will
- Focus on the quality of life of the people we support.
- Work to deliver great support, when and how the people being supported need and want it
- Work alongside senior staff and managers to deliver better support by providing feedback and ideas to make good practice even better.
- You will receive regular one-to-one supervision and we will help you to find ways to help you improve and develop.
- You will join regular team meetings to review our effectiveness in supporting people to engage in meaningful activities and relationships and to find ways to improve.

To be a great Support worker you will hold a care certificate or work towards this when you join us

You must have a positive attitude towards issues of learning disability and mental health and a comprehensive understanding of these issues in practice.
