**About the company and role**:
An exciting opportunity has now become available for a Principal Architect to join a UK onshore business, helping to deliver international multi-billion-dollar battery manufacturing facility. The company work across a range of domestic and internationalprojects including large scale refineries, gas terminals, carbon capture facilities, energy production and storage along with offshore topsides and jackets Discipline functions range from intelligent modelling, analysis and design of architectural systemsbased in harsh environments.

**Key Responsibilities for the role of Principal Architect**:

- Provide input and design of architectural layout and details required for onshore buildings and facilities
- Input and review overall plant layout
- Development of architectural specifications and input to project/discipline design basis
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
- Maintain good communication with the client and visit sites when necessary

**Skills and experience required for the role of Principal Architect**:

- Experienced engineer with sound technical background and expertise
- Familiar with and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting
- Able to work with other disciplines and draughting sections to meet delivery dates
- Able to estimate man-hours and materials for delegated aspects of work
- Competent in use of analytical methods used within discipline including theoretical background for analysis programs
