Dispatch Supervisor

My client have been working alongside an international network of clients, partners and suppliers to develop aluminium-based solutions for retail environments, exhibition spaces and commercial interiors for over 30 years. Together, the team combine precision manufacturing with LED lighting technologies to create an ever-growing range of standard, customisable and bespoke product that are optimised to meet customer’s needs.

**(Dispatch Supervisor) - Position Overview**
- Arranging same day carriers and route planning to maximise efficiency and save money where possible, forward planning is essential in this fast paced and ever changing department.
- Reading and understanding the production schedule to see when, where and how deliveries are going out.
- Safely and securely packing our products ready for dispatch including specific instructions or labelling requirements.
- Despatching goods via online portals including DX Freight, DHL, EPS, Fed Ex, Etc.
- Communicate with the sales and production departments as well as customers to ensure all delivery information is correct and accurate.
- Locating completed jobs throughout the factory and gathering all parts ready for despatch.
- Learning all of our products and cross checking all completed jobs to the works order.
- Vehicle maintenance and inspections to make sure all vans are safe, legal and roadworthy, reporting any issues to the relevant people or department.
- Loading and unloading vehicles which will involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Packing, wrapping, palletising and labelling orders ready to be despatched to some of the biggest retailors in the country.
- Creating a safe and clean work area throughout the department.
- Providing holiday cover for various other staff members in the department.

**(Dispatch Supervisor) - Position Requirements**
- Flexibility to work away from home or unsociable hours when making deliveries.
- Clean driving licence
- Hands on trade type experience would an advantage but not essential.
- Be professional when speaking to or meeting clients, suppliers or other staff members.
- FLT licence would be beneficial.
- Prior knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good telephone manner and able to keep calm and composed.

**(Dispatch Supervisor) - Position Remuneration**
- Starting wage of £12 per hour
- Full training provided (including H&S qualifications where applicable)
- Tools Provided
- Basic 40-Hour week
- Weekly Pay
- Regular overtime available
- Well established, successful, growing company.
- Monday - Friday

**Salary**: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
