This position is to provide maternity leave cover for 12 months so if you are looking to take the next step up in your career or are currently in a Matron's role but want the challenge of working across several sub-specialties, this is the ideal opportunity for you.

This Matron's post is unique because it combines overseeing the Head and Neck Ward which admits both elective and emergency patients from ENT and OMFS; the Vascular Ward which also includes Enhanced Care beds, as well as the Outpatient Clinics for ENT, OMFS and Dermatology across three sites.

As the Matron, you will be required to lead your teams to continually improve the quality of care they provide to their patients through their own development. You will be an integral part of the Directorate Triumvirate Teams working closely with the Clinical Directors and Directorate Managers as well as the Clinical Service Leads and Governance Leads. You will work in partnership with the Divisional Matrons in supporting the Divisional Director of Nursing to deliver the quality nursing agenda.
