We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Oakwood, a **category C** Prison located in **Wolverhampton**

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £23500 per annum - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Pharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Provide high quality support to the supply, preparation and assembly of medicines under the direction of the Responsible Pharmacist. Contributing to services such as medicines reconciliation, managing stock medicines, safe transportation of medicines, and provide support to a safe and secure medicines administration service whilst following polices, protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Deliver Non-judgemental and patient centred care. You will make a real difference as a key member of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare and pharmacy professionals supported through our bespoke Health in Justice Competency frameworks, policies and protocols, and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications required (copy from JD)
- NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills/equivalent or working towards
- Medicines handing experience desirable not essential
- Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
