**The role**

It is the Workshop Supervisor’s responsibility to monitor and develop all necessary processes for the staff and individual customers at the site and internal fleet requirements. These processes should provide for quality service in line with customer requirements.

You will oversee the day to day management and maintenance of the site. Ensuring Health & Safety and Environmental issues are adhered to for the staff, customers and visitors.

The Workshop manager is responsible for the day to day running of the workshop and the staff that operate within them.

**_ Responsibilities include:_**

**Staffing**:

- Ensure that vehicle technicians reach their daily, weekly and monthly hours targets and provide regular feedback on their progress
- Recording of all necessary information with regards to Health and Safety legislation and implementing systems to ensure compliance.
- Updating staff with any new policies and procedures.

**_Workshop Services:_**
- Provide the reception service for the workshop customers.
- Provide advice on products and services together with quotations
- Undertake the necessary booking in procedures ensuring customer deadlines are met and productivity is maintained
- Advise customers on loan and hire car availability and when necessary ensure all paperwork relating to these is completed correctly.
- Liaise with customers over any additional work required, agreeing new costs and completion times before commencing work. Clearly endorse any work not completed or any further advice on service invoices.
- Ensure vehicle technicians complete all necessary paperwork on completion of a repair as per the company policies.
- Operate the purchase system in line with the company quality system ensuring approved suppliers are used or concession notes are written.
- All stock items should be regularly monitored and re ordered as necessary.
- Ensure that all company credit cards transactions are recorded on a daily basis and passed to the accounts department.
- Ensure that all paperwork and necessary calibration requirements are completed correctly.
- Arrange correct disposal of all waste products and retain all relevant paperwork.

**_Hire/Loan Cars:_**
- Complete all necessary paperwork relating to vehicles.
- Ensure all vehicles are thoroughly inspected prior to collection and after return.
- Liaise daily am and pm for loan/hire car availability. Discuss weekend requirements and move vehicles as necessary.
- Carry out maintenance and servicing of the vehicles as required.

**_General Responsibilities:_**
- Team building and ensuring positive relationships between all areas of the business.
- Reviewing regularly business needs and developments.
- Implementing new policies and ideas.

**Basic Salary £37,000 plus workshop performance related bonus per annum**
