Are you a dog lover with a passion and talent for leadership? Our dog rescue is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic supervisor to join us.
We're a vibrant, growing organisation dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need, and we're searching for a unique and confident individual ready to become supervisor and embark on a fast-track learning adventure in dog training and rehabilitation.
As a Team supervisor, you'll need to be: A confident communicator, a shining beacon of positivity with a can do attitude, a mature, steady, and open-minded individual with a zest for life.
You'll need to be:
1. Experienced in a leadership role.
2. Lead by example and prepared to deal with all aspects of running a kennel and caring for dogs. **This is a hands on job.**
3. Able to create and manage maintenance schedules
4. Able to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
5. Emotionally intelligent and in touch with your team's needs.
6. Empathetic, approachable, and people-focused.
7. Solution-focused and calm under pressure.
8. Able to be both big picture and detailed.
9. Willing to learn and go on a fast track learning scheme on dog training and rehabilitation.
10. The owner of a super positive mindset and a passion for personal growth and upgrade.
11. Genuinely willing to go the extra mile.
12. Physically fit, this job is physically very demanding
Your responsibilities:
- Supervision of staff members when team leader are off duty, ensuring the smooth operation of the rescue and the day-to-day at the kennels.
- Take part in all the dog care duties including cleaning kennels, making feeds, medicating and working with the dogs.
- Deal with any issues that may arise on the day to day including dog behaviour, health concerns as well as kennels operations and staff management.
- Assess the day to day oprational needs of the kennels, create schedules and ensure the smooth running of the kennels operations.
- Work with our head trainer on dog training programs (Excellent dog skills, knowledge of behaviour and training methods will need to be acquired speedily if not already the case)
- Particiapte and help maintain a positive working environment for the team, promoting teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Be responsible for the ongoing welfare assessments of the dogs and their health needs.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure that dogs are receiving the highest quality care.
- Communicate effectively and confidently with team members and the public at times.
- Be responsible for the Health and Safety compliance of the operation together with the directors.
- Ensure that all rescue activities are carried out in compliance with the organisation’s operating rules.
- Maintain accurate records of all dogs in the rescue, including their medical history, behaviour assessments, and adoption status.
- Take the lead on vet checks for the more behaviourally challenged dogs.
- Report daily to the directors or team leader.

**About us**:
Love Underdogs is a small organisation rehoming around 50 dogs a year, many of whom are considered less adoptable due to medical conditions, age or behaviour.
We pride ourselves in the quality of the care we give our dogs and the professionalism and support we show to our adoptive families for the lifetime of our dogs.
**The rota is over 2 weeks**:
**One week you would be doing the first one and the following week, the second**:
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri
Week 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £27,000.00 per year
