**The Role**
Are you a Design Engineer or a recent graduate with experience in 3D design with hands on build experience. Our client, a leader in their industry is looking to add a Design Engineer to the team
**What will I be doing?**
As a Design Engineer, you will have the responsibility of supporting and leading tasks within the Engineering team, leading the development of next generations of water treatment laboratory equipment.
**Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;**
- Producing CAD modelling and the generation of engineering drawings.
- Generate concept design, conduct research and calculations, and undertake analysis of test data, product design, and inspection data.
- Production of development specifications, test plans, instructions, and other engineering-related documentation.
- Work with internal engineers within engineering and production to produce all required drawings needed for each "Mod Note" or drawing update.
- Maintain accurate timekeeping to allow for burn-down planning and reporting to be carried out.
- Working with the Manufacturing department and engineers, to implement modifications and changes as required.
- Ability to discuss and actively participate with suppliers and other purchasing activities/ teams to achieve the best cost for the final design product.

**The Person**
- Experience with 3D software e.g. CREO, Inventor or Solidworks.
- Design and development in high-tech, precision engineering
- Experience in high volume manufacture and assembly would be an advantage.
- Basic design knowledge and experience of equipment and technologies used commonly within the water treatment industries (eg. Pumps, pipework, valves, and tanks).
- Good levels of experience and competence in drawing P&ID's.
- Ability to proactively find information and answers so that design work is allowed to progress.
- Technical competence and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience in using Windchill PDM package, or proven experience with a similar PDM package would be an advantage.
