Dispatch Operative - Order Processing, Picking, Packing and Stock Replenishment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Process orders for shipment. Pick and Pack stock items by batch number and quantity.
- Cycle counting of finished product to match system totals. Complete daily and quarterly stock checks.
- Ensure stock is accurately maintained and replenished within the allocated pick boxes and to the correct quantity.
- Highlight low level consumable stock items for re-order.
- Responsible for the general cleaning and tidying of assigned packing station throughout the shift and at the close of the day.
- Receive stock from vendors, ensuring the product is as ordered, undamaged, marked correctly and then stored in the appropriate location.
- Basic Excel data entry to generate accurate reports throughout the day.
- Adhere to Summit’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Commitment to continuous improvement through suggested changes to the existing working practices.
- Adherence to the safe manual handling guidelines on all stock movements.
Skills and Experience:
- A good level of numeracy and literacy.
- Computer literate (Word, Excel).
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential.
- Manual Handling experience would be beneficial - training is provided.
