Working within our operations team, you’ll be a key part of the Pall-Ex Logistics team. Utilising your leading skills to help us create an engaged workforce will aid us to continue to deliver an efficient and reliable service for all of our customers.

We are looking for a hardworking, competent individual to join our busy warehouse team.

You will need to have a can-do attitude within a face paced environment, have a high level of integrity and able to build and maintain professional working relationships with your staff team. you will be required to work to tight deadlines and be able to prioritise your workload, along with excellent communication skills.

**Hours**:* 48** hours p/w, Monday-Friday**

**ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of Class 2 licence (Category C) as some supportive driving duties will be required
- Sound knowledge of drivers and WTD hours and vehicle defect inspections requirements and procedures
- Good knowledge of Pall-Ex policies and procedure with a sound operational knowledge of the Nexus TMS platform
- IT Literate (Excel mainly but knowledge of PowerPoint and Word required)

**Main duties and responsibilities**

- Recruit, manage and develop the Pall-Ex warehouse and trunking transshipment team, monitoring and improving productivity
- Provide holiday and sickness resource cover across warehouse and Pall-Ex transshipment team
- Co-ordinating cost-effective route planning to accommodate all our delivery and collection customers
- Design, and change where necessary to affect the best vehicle round release plan each morning
- Promoting to Operations Manager, the best staffing resource model to ensure a quality transshipment, trunking and delivery service
- Managing inflow and outflow of stock at all our customer storage locations
- Engaging, managing and coordinating 3rd party resources where required in the operation
- Working with Pall-Ex Service Controller to ensure effective resource and service quality management across the full working day
- Co-ordinate trunk driver shift end debrief
- Co-ordinate and control FLT vehicles, recommending improved efficiency options to Operations Manager
- Co-ordinate facilities management, site security, warehouse consumables
- Co-ordinate Health and Safety in line with audit requirements
- Support Operations Manager and working with Pall-Ex Service Controller in training initiatives and toolbox talks
