This is a specialist role for an experienced reporter with a great knack for original journalism. You’ll find, write and produce news stories and features for users of the Sky News App and website, so you’ll need to be a classy writer with a proven ability to engage an audience with gripping tales. You’ll need a laser-eye for a top line, as well the knowledge and experience to attend court, and work with some of our top correspondents.

This role has the power to make news that our rivals will follow - you must be a dynamic, multi-skilled self-starter.

What you'll do:
As a member of the Sky News Mobile team, you’ll
- Find, pitch, write and produce powerful news stories and features that could lead our products
- Interview contributors and news makers, identifying agenda-setting top lines
- Break and shape developing news stories with fast chasing facts
- Keep ahead of the UK news agenda and upcoming events
- Beat our rivals to the punch
- Push audience figures upwards
- Increase engagement
- Work with key TV and radio teams

What you'll bring:

- First class reporter with a great eye for a story and a passion for news and features
- Track record in ferreting out stories, writing and producing pieces to a premium standard with skills in specialist tools
- Organised, self-starter and great in a team
- Able to handle big breaking news scenarios and keep cool under pressure
- Hands-on experience of content management systems, photoshop and video production tools
