**Freelance Audio Transcription Typists**

We require experienced freelance audio-typists for home-based assignments, transcribing English to English, multi-speaker interviews.

You will need fluency in English to mother-tongue standard, good listening skills, familiarity with a broad range of UK dialects and international accents, excellent grammar and spelling, and the ability to work to deadlines. You should have access to a password-protected PC with up-to-date anti-virus software, transcription software, foot pedal and high-quality headphones.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Transcribe multi-speaker digitally-recorded audio and visual interviews, meetings and other types of recordings.
- Ensure work is turned around within agreed deadlines and timeframes.
- Create all documents in line with templates and house style.
- Proof read and check all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense.
- Proactively clarify instructions should they be unclear or if deadlines are not made explicit; providing updates as to progress of work and/or ability to meet deadline.
- Ensure confidentiality in all company and client documentation. You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

**Background and Profile**
- Audio typing experience
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to receive constructive feedback and implement this in your work
- Ability to focus on one task for long periods of time.

**Hours of Work**

Freelance/flexible hours - will be discussed in interview

**Salary**

Paid per audio minute - will be discussed in interview
