Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a key client within the FMCG sector in order to appoint a Transactional Finance Processor as the business continues to undergo a massive period of growth and success. The role will be based at the company’s head office in East Kilbride.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Process the core accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash and banking functions in the finance team ensuring all areas are well controlled
- Ensure all key processes and controls are in place and being adhered to in relation to accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash and banking
- Ensure all relevant balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts are controlled, prepared and reviewed on a monthly basis
- Support on Banking Reconciliations
- Identify any core process gaps and put in place improvements in a timely manner
- Proactively work closely with relevant business managers to ensure a clear understanding of the core finance processes and close any gaps in understanding as appropriate
- Provide relevant training to the business on core processes e.g. PO’s / GRN’s etc as required
- Actively support the Transactional Finance Manager and communicate at all levels to ensure information is shared in a timely manner
- Examine, verify, and prepare financial information
- Present a positive and professional image of the client in all contacts and relationships
- Accurately and thoroughly maintain a wide variety of records
- Prepare clear, concise, comprehensive and accurate reports
- Learn and effectively use accounting systems to store and retrieve data
- Clearly communicate orally and in writing with all levels in the organisation

**Experience**:

- Demonstratable experience in a similar role within a transactional finance environment
- Proven track record of working towards deadlines
- Experience of effectively using accounting systems to store and retrieve data

**Skills, Knowledge & Abilities**:

- Ability to prioritise and adapt to workload
- Proficient in various computer programmes such as MS Office programs, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and orally

- Strong team player

Given the exposure of the position, it is essential that the individual can build effective and robust working relationships within the finance team and with internal and external stakeholders. This position requires a highly organised individual with a strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control.
