**About the role**
As a **Street Lighting Scheduler,** you will be responsible for the safe and efficient programming of all 7 and 14 day repairs identified on the **M25 motorway network**

This role is a fixed term contract for a 12 month period.

You will work alongside the Street Lighting Supervisor to secure the necessary road space and resources. The role will also involve providing scheduling assistance to our Tunnels Team and ensuring the maintenance of all associated data.

**What you'll be doing**
Within this role as a **Street Lighting Scheduler **you'll be:

- Responsible for the planning and programming of all agile defect lighting works.
- Working with the Street lighting team (Streetlighting manager, Supervisor and Data Coordinator to continually adjust and refine short-term programme to ensure all KPIs (Cat1, Cat 2, Cat 3 defects, and compliance with Environmental Protection Act) and planned preventative maintenance for Street Lighting are met.
- Ensure all road space is booked and used efficiently through co-ordination with other internal and external works.
- Assist Street Lighting team with detailed resource planning, including people, plant and materials.
- Liaise with other quadrant teams to improve utilisation of resources across the network and share innovative ideas to improve Service Delivery.
- Collate and maintain records relating to defects and repairs for Lighting across network.
- To provide general administrative support within a working depot environment.

**Who we're looking for** The following qualities/experience are essential**:

- Previous experience in highway maintenance or regulated sectors (e.g. rail/utilities)
- Knowledge and experience of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality standards within a highways context
- Current UK driving licence

**The following qualities/experience are desirable**:

- Previous experience in a similar role containing most of the responsibilities listed above.
- Knowledge and experience of traffic management on high-speed roads.
- Working knowledge of highways maintenance activities, traffic management and incident management.
- Working knowledge of National Highways’ National Events Management Service (NEMS) and Connect Plus Services Network Occupancy Management (NOMS) system.
