We have an opportunity within our Aseptics Department for a Senior Assistant, Band 3.

You will work as part of a team, within the Aseptic department, providing a high quality, flexible and responsive service.

You will prepare sterile injections ready for patient administration, including chemotherapy (cytotoxic), radiopharmaceuticals and general intravenous drugs. You will also help to supervise the Assistants, Band 2 in the department as well as general maintenance of the department and stock control.

Previous experience of working in a cleanroom environment is desirable, but not essential.

A requirement of the post is that no make-up or jewellery of any kind is worn.

Aseptically manufacture named patient and batch products following procedures and worksheets.

Supervise the day-to-day workload of the Pharmacy Assistants within Aseptics.

Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment supporting the manufacturing process and to assist senior staff in demonstrating particular duties to junior and rotational staff.
