**Job Summary**:Teaching and coaching children in a school, nursery, children’s centre, weekend skill classes; maintaining and developing relationships with schools, nursery children’s centres, and parents; maintaining the standards and expectations of Sport4Kids; behaving as a brand ambassador for S4K; communicating effectively with S4K and customers

**Line Manager**: General Manager
**Responsible For**: Fully preparing for S4K classes; High quality teaching and coaching; health and safety of children in coaches’ care; efficient recording of children’s attendance; professional manner in educational environments; effective communication with key stakeholders; continuous training and improvement of skills; reporting to line managers and S4K administration. Venue manager at Skill classes site.

**Working Relationships**: Schools, Nurseries, Children’s Centres, Line Managers, S4K
Administration, Weekend skill classes.

**Main duties include**:

- Complete the full S4K coach training pathway for the respective coaching role (Early Years,

Club or PE)
- Attend monthly S4K coaching training
- Attendance of any further training necessary to raise standards, such as (but not limited to) paediatric first aid, specific technical training or safeguarding training
- Be consistently available for all classes committed to throughout the full school term, and for some nurseries who run through 52 weeks of the year (allowing for annual leave)
- Prepare for every class using the KO notes, lesson plans and operations handbook
- Teach classes at the expected standards set by Sport4Kids
- Behave to the highest standards set by Sport4Kids and maintain professional working relationships with all customers, children and S4K colleagues
- Complete full registers at the start of every class
- Ensure the highest standards in safeguarding throughout all classes, in preparation of classes, and at the end of classes
- Full reporting of all requested details for education partners, S4K administration or line managers
- Effective communication with education partners, children, parents and Sport4Kids, ensuring accurate information is transferred when necessary
- Responsibility and accountability of relationships with education partners through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Assist in the retention of children who attend S4K clubs through the distribution of marketing materials where required
- Full completion of S4K PE Books (PE Coaches only)
- Means to travel between venues and transport kit
- Responsibility and accountability of any S4K kit in possession, including immediately reporting any missing or broken equipment
- Maintaining a fully stocked first aid kit
- Assistance in covering of additional classes that may come up throughout the year
- Fully adhere to S4K policies and protocols at all times

**Code of Conduct and Discipline Process ** Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid
- Completion of S4K training pathways appropriate Certificate to **Desired experience in delivering to groups age of children being taught of children (numbers of 10+)**:

- Having a passion to help make a positive difference Proven leadership skills to children’s health, fitness and sports development **Providing and facilitating safe, stimulating and educational coaching**:

- Excellent communication skills together with sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children
- Ability to work on own initiative, using judgement and common sense

- Basic administration skills
- Ability to use IT based resources used by S4K for class, scheduling and invoicing administration
