**Buying Assistant**
Douglas and Grahame Ltd are looking for a commercial and analytical Buying Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

As a Buying Assistant, you will co-ordinate aspects of garment production for one of our client’s product divisions.

Reporting to the Buyer, you will oversee fabric purchasing, garment development, demand planning and quality control systems and procedures. You will strive to maximise performance in relation to cost efficiency and delivery schedules.

Organised and adaptable, you must be self-motivated and driven with a methodical approach and the ability to effectively interpret data and problem solve.

As part of your role, you may be required to occasionally travel to visit offshore production facilities.

The position carries an attractive salary, pension and other benefits.

A qualification or experience in a fashion related field would be an advantage.

**To be considered for this role, you must have**:

- Third level education in a related field.
- An analytical mind, a methodical approach and the ability to effectively interpret data
- A high level of IT literacy, including MS Office
- At a minimum, five GCSE passes (or equivalent), at C or above in Mathematics and English

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £20,300.00 per year
