**About the service**:
Headsight Services is a therapeutic service working with children, young people, adults and families. We offer a wide range of high-quality therapeutic services and training for professionals, parents and carers.

**About the role**:
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our multi-disciplinary assessment team carrying out trauma-based assessments for adopted children. You will work alongside a team of experienced professionals including clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and other assistant psychologists.

Our aim is to improve outcomes by helping individuals and their families to understand their strengths and areas of need so that they can access appropriate support.

You will support the clinical team in assessments, formulation and report writing.
Opportunities to contribute to service evaluation, data collection and analysis are also available.

**Working environment**

There is the option to work from home or the Headsight office based in Winchcombe
Gloucestershire. There will be a requirement to attend some face-to-face appointments with families at the Headsight office and in Bristol.

**Key duties**:
**Clinical**
- To score, interpret and present a wide range of psychometrics.
- To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings (e.g. reporting results, providing psychological insights, conducting risk assessments, formulating assessment plans and taking notes).
- To produce case reports and developmental histories about clients and present them to the multi-disciplinary team.
- To assist clinical psychologists with psychological assessments e.g. autism assessments, cognitive assessments and clinical interviews.
- To assist in the compilation and production of sensitively written assessment and formulation reports.
- To sensitively communicate the outcomes of our assessments to parents, carers, young people and professionals with the support of qualified clinicians.

**Service development and administration**
- To assist in the design and implementation of service development projects.
- To attend meetings in which service developments are planned and discussed, as directed by a qualified psychologist.
- To support administrative or organisational tasks for the team.

**General**
- To organise your own workload under the direct support and supervision of your line manager.
- To ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with protocol and regulations.
- To carry out, as and when required, any additional tasks and responsibilities that are reasonably compatible with this job description and its objectives.

**About you**:
This post is suitable for applicants with BPS Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, achieved through either an undergraduate degree or conversion course.

**Skills**
- Have high-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to use different communication styles and techniques to present ideas.
- Can engage children, young people and their families with compassion and professionalism.
- Have good IT skills including the ability to use Word and Excel to write reports and analyse and present basic data.
- Have the ability to demonstrate a high level of determination, personal drive, energy and ambition to achieve challenging targets.
- Have an enthusiastic, open-minded, flexible and confident approach to working.
- Have a willingness and ability to learn new skills and adapt to change.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week

**Salary**: £22,816.00-£24,336.00 per year
