Digital and Communications Lead

The Postholder will work closely with the Partners, management team and staff to understand current service models and processes, identify challenges, agree priorities for improvement and then support delivery. Provide feedback to the management team on progress of current initiatives, capacity for change, and issues so that plans can be adapted in response. Build relationships and facilitate collaboration between practices, stakeholders and the wider system to support the delivery of care to patients. Be a champion for best practice, using data and analysis to inform and enable innovation and transformation within the Practice.
Review of the Practices digital maturity, and lead improvement including optimisation of new technologies to enhance patient access and improve efficiency. Agree appropriate systems for delivery of services and ensure implementation through robust monitoring and quality reviews. Ensure new digital projects include meaningful and valued engagement and involvement with users of its services, and that this is fully embedded in the development of services within the Practice. Appraise digital options and technologies for general practice as they develop/emerge and encourage the practice in utilising their full functionality to enable improvement and operational efficiency.
Be the EMIS web and ARDENS expert and point of contact, including reporting, templates and training as required. Work with the Partners and management team to develop a strong communication strategy Ensure patient and public participation insight plays a fundamental role in communications through developing and managing appropriate patient and community groups. The postholder will be primarily responsible for creating and delivering communications for projects across the organisation, managing newsletters, identifying content for and scheduling social media messages, and creating content for our website, including new approaches to digital publishing. Work closely with teams across the organisation to commission, develop and edit content for our communications channels including the website, social media and newsletters.
