**Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - Rainbow Day Nursery Langdon**

An exciting opportunity to work as an early years educator at Rainbow Day Nursery and gain hands on experience while obtaining a level 3 qualification

**Apprenticeship Summary**
- Monday to Friday - &.30am to 6.30pm
- Shift pattern to be discussed at interview.
- 40 hours per week
- Wage: £8 per hour
- Expected duration: 19 months
- Training: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - All learning will be delivered remotely.
- Location: Horizon House, 26 Langdon Road, Bromley, BR2 9JS
- Our entry requirements are **Maths and English** A-C, 4-9 or L2 equivalents such as functional skills **English or Maths**.

**Purpose of post**
- To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in the nursery
- To give support to other team members throughout the nursery
- To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, learn and develop.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- To contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members
- To keep records of your key children’s development and learning journeys and share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the child’s life
- Engage in good team working
- Liaise with and support parents and other family members
- To assist in producing accurate and effective observations of their children using the iconnect system. Their progress and development needs should be identified. As appropriate to each room.
- To use observations and evidence gathered to asses the effectiveness of the learning environment and the child’s progress
- To be aware of the needs of special needs children and give physical, emotional and intellectual guidance to the children as appropriate under the guidance of the senior team members.
- To assist the staff working with the children with special needs to ensure smooth integration in the nursery.
- To attend out of working hours activities, e.g. training, staff meetings, parents evening, fundraising events etc.
- To be flexible within working practices of the nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
- Work alongside the Manager and staff team to ensure that the nursery’s philosophy is fulfilled
