We are looking for a Research Coordinator and PA to the Director of VARI, NAL and Archives to join our Collections division.
The main purpose of this role is to coordinate and ensure the smooth functioning of the V&A Research Institute, NAL and Archives team on a day-to-day basis whilst providing PA support to its Director. This is a busy role with a wide range of tasks that allows the post holder to play a key role in creating and maintaining an environment that is welcoming and conducive to research while acting as a first point of contact for the Institute, both internally and externally.
The post holder will need to use their initiative, and to bring a flexible and meticulous approach to a demanding and varied workload that, at the same time, allows them to work right at the heart of the museum’s research community.
This role will form part of a job share with an existing post-holder, who will work 17 hours per week. The exact distribution of roles and responsibilities will be decided upon appointment, but we anticipate that research events organization will be a particular emphasis for this role.
