**How you'll make a difference**:

Working under the direction of the Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely payment of salaries to Council employees. You will assist with the examination of appointment forms, setting up new employee records and processing changes.

**What will you be doing?**
- You are responsible for accurately processing timesheets, overtime, and other changes such as sickness and absence returns.
- You will also be examining appointment forms, setting up new employee records and processing changes such as leavers, calculating final pay and producing P45’s.

**What we need from you**:

- We require you to have an NVQ 2 or 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above (including maths and English) or hold equivalent relevant administrative experience in a similar area such as finance or HR.
- You should have good ICT skills including standard financial software packages and the ability to be trained in software packages and databases.
- You will be able to make decisions and judgements but request Supervisor assistance when needed.
