**Your new role**
You will work closely with local health services including unscheduled care services. Currently a significant percentage of the role is conducted on a lone working basis although you will form part of a small team. Effective assessment, co-ordination and riskassessment skills are fundamental to the role as is the ability to manage crisis situations and the expectations of others at times of particularly unsocial hours. We are keen to take opportunities to develop the service in conjunction with partner agenciesso that alternatives to admission can be maximised.
- Ability to co-ordinate, lead and undertake complex and challenging assessments of
- individuals where compulsory intervention is a potential outcome.
- Ability to assess and manage risk in the interests of a person's health or safety or for the
- protection of others.
- Ability to prioritise work based on risk assessment and agreed objectives.
- Ability to accurately complete statutory forms, record details of interventions undertaken and to make reasoned and independent judgements.

**Type of environment**
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Degree in Social Work (Dip SW, CQSW)
- Ability to empathise
- Basic knowledge of Welsh (Support can be provided on appointment to reach this level)
- Ability to manage unpredictable, complex, and challenging situations
- Masters Level Post Graduate Certificate: Approved Mental Health Professional
- Demonstratable experience working with a multi-disciplinary team (preferred)
- Access to own travel
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983
- The Social Services and
- Wellbeing Wales Act 2014; The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards; The Human Rights Act 1998; The Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010
