In Step Accounting is a dynamic growing accountancy firm, based out of a modern coworking space in Liverpool Street, London. We have a diverse range of clients across hospitality, IT and other industries.

The Founder has experience as an in house Finance Director across multiple industries and is looking to grow a progressive accountancy firm offering training and career development for a diverse range of people, including non-traditional accounting backgrounds. All clients see us as an integral part of their team and not a traditional external accountant.

Due to an increase in clients, we are looking for an outgoing and ambitious Financial Controller to join our team. This exciting role will appeal to someone who has recently qualified as an accountant and wishes to further their career within Practice or make a move out of Industry and into Practice. There is an opportunity to partner with the Director and support the evolution and growth of the business.

**Purpose of Role**:
(1) To support the team in providing great client service

(2) To support the Founder in growing the business through existing client growth and new clients

(3) To provide line management, mentoring and support to a dynamic team of Assistant Accountants.

**Role Description**
- Accountability for accuracy of clients' bookkeeping
- Oversee client statutory account preparation and corporation tax returns
- Take ownership for the onboarding of all new clients
- Take ownership of Assistant Accountants training and development
- Review all work carried out by Assistant Accountants
- Act as key point of contact for all clients

**Experience Required**:

- At least 3 years' experience in industry or an accounts practice
- Broad accounts preparation experience
- Management experience desirable but not necessary.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
