Biopesticides Trials Officer

**i2L Research Ltd** are a leading provider of scientific services and technical support to the Pest control industry. Owing to the continued growth of our organisation, we are excited to advertise for the position of a Biopesticides Trials Officer to join our team in Newcastle.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Establish and manage agricultural trials in field, glasshouse and polytunnel conditions including planting, sowing and managing crops***
- Liaising with local growers and farmers to manage agricultural field trials****
- Assess the effects of agrochemicals, and other agricultural inputs, to trial plots (insect counts, disease cover, plant quality)***
- Data input (Excel)***
- Data analysis, interpretation and report writing***
- Undertaking any other daily activities in accordance with company standards and needs**Skills required**:

- Knowledge of biopesticides and crop pests
- and diseases***
- Understanding of IPM, EPPO guidelines and GEP is advantageous***
- Must be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers***
- Computer skills are important (ideally Excel, ARM, MS Word)***
- Must have excellent organization skills and the ability to work remotely and independently when required to specific deadlines***
- Must be motivated, energetic and enthusiastic, able to work on own initiative, and as part of a team when required***
- Must have a full driving licence***
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide training is advantageous, but not essential
