Allen Gordon LLP is an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy providing design services to a wide variety of public and private sector clients across Scotland. Founded over 50 years ago, the firm operates from offices in Inverness, Perth,and Stirling.

**About the role**

We are currently looking for a Senior Technician / Technician, to support the preparation of designs within our Inverness office including site survey work, preparations of drawings and specifications and interfacing with clients, contractors, and otherdesigners.
- Knowledge in wide range of civil engineering areas preferably including water related infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of relevant Standards, Codes of Practice and Guidance.
- Detailed knowledge of compliance with CDM regulations 2015.
- High proficiency in AutoCad.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills including written and presentational.
- Ability to work within team with minimum supervision.
- Full driving license or willingness to attain.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for preparation of civil and/or structural designs and specifications.
- Respond to queries from other designers, contractors, and clients as appropriate.
- Assisting in management of junior team members.
- Ensure company procedures and relevant codes, specifications, and legislation including CDM Regulations are followed.
- Support project team in areas of particular knowledge or experience.
