Toolmaking Apprentice

This role is for a toolmaking apprentice to join our toolroom

You will undertake the recognised training course Toolmaker Level 3. The course will last 4 years and will be spent with the first year on site at Worcester Group Training Association, followed by day release for the remainder of your course.

During the three year course you will support the toolroom with:

- Toolroom health and safety
- Milling, turning, grinding, fitting and benching
- CNC machining
- Designing and manufacturing simple fixtures using CAD/CAM
- Injection Mould tool manufacture, tool trials and moulding first parts
- Designing and manufacturing assembly and test fixtures

**Requirements**:

- Appetite for engineering and tool making
- Shows initiative with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent team player
- Organised and reliable
- Good written and communication skills
- Level 2 in Maths and English (required)

**Salary**: £15,500.00 per year
