A great opportunity has arisen to join VDS Ltd as a part-time HR Administrator on a fixed term contract for 9 months. You will work closely with the HR Manager to ensure the colleague experience is delivered upon consistently and successfully in the Society. To achieve this, the HR Administrator will be responsible for carrying out a range of day-to-day HR activities whilst contributing to some larger, long-term projects when required.

The role will primarily be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day administration and colleague support is completed to a high standard.

We would welcome flexible working times, although hours would be 20-21 hours.

**Key Responsibilities**

Primary duties include but not limited to:

- General HR administration
- Support with external inquiries and requests related to the HR/Facilities department.
- Assisting operational teams with the process of recruitment, organising interviews, offer of employment, and issuing employment contracts.
- Carrying out employment checks including Right to Work and qualifications
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations/inductions.
- Ensuring employee records are accurately maintained on our PeopleHR system, adding new colleagues and making necessary changes to make sureall data is correct and relevant.
- Producing letters confirming change of circumstance, maternity, paternity and parental leave
- Supporting with the preparing for payroll.
- Manage probation process
- Undertaking research, data and analytics as needed
- Supporting when required with HR project assignments

**Essential Skills**:
**Requirements needed for the HR Administrator**

It is ideal you have previous experience in HR, and essential you have 2 years administration experience. We also need to the person filling this role to be a positive and personable. In addition, you ideally will have:

- Excellent organisation skills
- An aptitude to learn and the curiosity to develop new skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- An eye for detail
- Great time management
- Ability to interact with people in an understanding and empathetic manner
- Ideally you will have excellent use of the Microsoft Suite, inc Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Initiative taking and forward-thinking approach
- High customer focus mindset
