The Harrogate Ladies’ College family of schools (College and Highfield) is seeking a Part-Time Cleaner for cleaning duties during weekend to help ensure that the School is presented to the best standards at all times. The hours will mainly be worked in the areas of school used for outside lets at the weekend but the individual may also be required to help cover holidays/absences elsewhere in school as necessary.

8 hours per week, 4 hours on a Saturday and 4 hours on a Sunday between 9am and 1pm.
- **Job Purpose**:_

To help ensure the School is presented to the best standards at all times, particularly in the areas of school used by outside lets at the weekend.
- **Main Duties**:_

The Weekend Cleaner will be allocated to particular areas of the School, which may include:

- the sports hall, squash courts and swimming pool and other areas used by external lets;
- residential and boarding houses and the Wellness Centre;
- non-residential teaching areas, including Highfield Prep School and Pre-School.

The Weekend Cleaner is required to:

- ensure that all areas are cleaned, equipped and prepared for all functions and holiday hire;
- remove desks, furniture and gym equipment as requested;
- work in an efficient and organised way, and to clean areas as per list;
- help deep clean areas during School closure periods, i.e. floors stripped and polished, windows cleaned, desktops/furniture/whiteboards/top shelves cleaned;
- ensure all Health & Safety/Hygiene regulations are complied with and that hygiene in food preparation areas (outside of the main School Catering department) is maintained to a standard commensurate with the Food Act 1997;
- be aware of and implement HLC Health & Safety Policy at all times, reporting accidents in accordance with that policy;
- obtain and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies and replenish as required, with common sense cost control;
- perform any other reasonable and appropriate duties as directed by the Facilities Manager/Supervisor and help cover cleaning team absences elsewhere on the school campus.
