Are you a fitters mate/mechanic looking for a great short term opportunity?

Proactive Personnel are currently working with a fantastic client who are looking for technically or mechanically minded people to assist with the removal of drawbars and couplings from rail wagons to allow them to be inspected.

**JOB ROLE (FITTERS MATE OR MECHANIC)**
- Working under instruction of the Technician to help in the removal of draw gear from rail wagons.
- Removal of pins (use of angle grinder may be required for pins that are not easy to extract)
- Undoing any nuts and fastening using manual tooling provided.
- Working from underneath rail wagon to access the tail pin.
- Careful handling of the assembly and loading to pallet.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS (FITTERS MATE OR MECHANIC)**
- Mechanical aptitude essential
- Ability to work in a safe environment to health and safety conscious environment.
- Knowledge of manual handling.
- Knowledge and experience of use of angle grinders
- Able to undertake some heavy lifting

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
