**Product Technologist job in Ferndown**

Dovetail Recruitment are pleased to be working with a thriving business in Ferndown who are recruiting for a new Product Technologist to join their team. They are an ambitious business who work with both big and small brands, and have a great culture.

The Product Technologist will be someone who has experience delivering safe, compliant products to market, with a focused mindset and excellent attention to detail. You will be managing product compliance to ensure adherence to both regulatory and qualitystandards for items sold in multiple territories. Knowledge of UK/European standards is essential.

**Product Technologist Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Conduct research on international standards required for new products/categories according to the proposed country of sale.
- Document and communicate this information to the relevant teams to ensure successful delivery of new product. This includes, but is not limited to; creating the test plans, advising on requires product registration(s), checking product formulations, reviewingsamples, and completing appropriate steps to ensure compliance before and after market.
- Manage testing and ensure suppliers are aware of the product specifications and standards required.
- Constructively work with testing houses and suppliers to ensure testing is competitively priced, accurate and meets required standards.
- Ensure testing is completed within agreed timescales according to the critical path.
- Take proactive action to continually risk assess, contributing as required to line lists, product specifications, instructions, labelling and artwork.
- Review artwork, PP and Production samples for all assigned products. Work with product inspection companies to arrange, and then review, final random inspections prior to shipping.
- Liaise with necessary authorities/companies to ensure technical and legal knowledge is always up to date. Attend any necessary training or conferences as required and cascade information within the team.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders attending meetings to support the quality and on time delivery of customer orders

**Experience & Knowledge Required**:

- At least two years’ experience in a similar compliance role within FMCG
- Working knowledge of interpreting Material Data Safety Sheet information, quality control systems, creating test plans and reviewing test reports
- Experience working with Far East/European production facilities/suppliers
