Band 6 Prison Based Mental Health Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist: Hunter AHP have an opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist to secure an ongoing locum contract, within a prison. The service provides mental health rehabilitationfor detainees.
Mental Health Occupational Therapists work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary therapy team, with excellent facilities.
Key responsibilities of the Mental Health Rehab Occupational Therapy role as follows:
- To be responsible for the Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation of an allocated clinical caseload, and in compliance with the care programme approach.
- To be responsible for planning and providing group and individual assessment and treatment sessions within the service, involving the client in decisions regarding appropriate interventions.
- To support and motivate service users to attend and participate in individual and group sessions appropriate to their needs.
