SLR has a strong, well-established water team, distributed widely throughout our UK office network. The team has extensive experience working in sectors including the commercial and residential development, mining, waste, and energy sectors.
- Due to our ongoing success, and a busy forward work pipeline, we are looking to expand the team with the appointment of a Graduate Hydrologist, based in our London office.
- This position presents an outstanding opportunity to join a large team of flood management specialists and hydrologists and be part of a wider group which also comprises hydrogeologists, geomorphologists and geochemists.**About us**

Working alongside experienced hydrologists, you will prepare flood risk assessments, flood management strategies, and outline Sustainable Drainage (SuDS) designs for a range of projects principally in the built environment, minerals and power sectors. Duties will also include undertaking field-based work, preparing water chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Reports and Environmental Appraisals.- This role will involve projects and limited site investigations across the UK, and therefore may include infrequent periods working away from home for several days at a time.**About you**
- We also imagine you would have the following:
- Hydrology, Water Resources Management or Civil Engineering degree (MSc or MEng)
- Exposure to numerical hydrological modelling packages (Micro-Drainage, GoldSim, Hec-RAS, Flood Modeler Pro, TuFlow, etc.) and a desire to learn more
- Experience in field work such as managing infiltration tests in accordance with BRE365, scheduling and managing undertaking water sampling events
- Data processing and analysis skills
