**Data Quality Analyst** with experience of Data Management in Information Systems, good GDPR ad SQL knowledge and experience of writing batch scripts in Windows or Linux is required by a well-established Charity based in Reading.

**SALARY**:£35,200 - £41,000 pro rata

**WORKING HOURS**: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Data Quality Analyst with experience of Data Management in Information Systems, good GDPR ad SQL knowledge and experience of writing batch scripts in Windows or Linux.

The Data Quality Analyst will work with the Data Technology Architect and key stakeholders across the organisation to identify and resolve data quality issues and support the implementation of the Data Quality Rules (DQR) Programme and Data Migration aspart of a key Business Transformation programme and continue to support the DQR processes post implementation.

Working as the Data Quality Analyst you will improve the quality of data processed within the Charity’s core systems and into or exported from the Datawarehouse to other systems, addressing accuracy, consistency, completeness, uniqueness, validity and timeliness.

**DUTIES**

Your duties and responsibilities as the Data Quality Analyst will include:

- Support the implementation of DQR Processes, working with the DW&BI Solution
- Identify and resolve Data Quality issues in line with agreed metrics and standards
- Work with Business SMEs and Stakeholders including the Data Services team to understand the Data Quality requirements
- Define the requirements for DQ Rules based on desired outcomes
- Define the scope of the DQ Rules by quantifying the scale of requirements based on volume of impacted records, Business Impact, Business or Technical constraints
- Analyse potential solutions to the DQ issues by collaborating with Business & Technical SMEs and Data Owners
- Refer high-impact DQ Issues & potential options to the Information Governance Board to seek guidance and arrive at a decision for suitable resolution
- Create procedures and/or scripts to analyse Data outputs for exceptions and rejected rows and take corrective measures
- Always ensure adherence to GDPR and other regulatory or best practise guidelines
- Commit the Data Quality Rules to the DQR library, ensuring it is properly documented, tagged and referenced
- Maintain ownership of the DQR Solution in Azure and work with the Data Services team to maintain data integrity

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**Essential**
- Diploma or Degree level (or equivalent relevant experience) in Computing or Information Management
- Experience of Data Management in Information Systems which involves activities such as Data Validation, Data Quality Checks, Data Governance and Data processing
- GDPR knowledge to ensure the organisation is not at risk of being prosecuted by the Information Commissioner
- Possess the breadth and depth of SQL knowledge which underpins the ability to deliver the responsibilities and tasks of the role
- A good knowledge of relational database concepts and Data organisation in Relational Tables
- A demonstrable understanding of the approaches involved in the processing of structured and unstructured data
- Experience of writing batch scripts in Windows or Linux
- Eligibility to work in the UK
