The role can be based remotely - Head office central Birmingham
Overview:
You will support and manage a small team of onshore developers and testers and assist in the adoption of off shore development teams to support legacy systems and develop new integrations.
With strong technical skills you will work with the Technical Lead to architect solutions and ensure that the code and quality in the teams conform to your standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with developers and testers to build team morale, a healthy working environment and high performance.
- Support developers and testers in coding best practices, constantly looking to improve how they code to bring better client outcomes quicker
- Conduct regular one to ones, appraisals, and set SMART goals for developers and automation testers under your responsibility
- Build the team in line with dedicated budgets
- Have input to and prioritise core system upgrades and changes alongside, and within, other backlogs with the Product Owner
- Work with onshore and offshore teams to ensure consistency in code development and where members should be allocated as demand flexes
- Carry out code development and code security reviews as necessary

**Skills**:Essential
- 3+ years managing onshore / offshore delivery teams
- 3+ years SQL,.Net and C# development experience
Desirable
- Development principals/architecture on cloud services (Azure or AWS)
- .Net development experience
- Experience with Angular
- 5+ years developing in Financial Services or another heavily regulated services sector
- Experience in managing a small team
- MS Azure DevOps experience sizing, creating, monitoring and evolving development throughput
- Able to demonstrate working in an environment encouraging accountability and autonomy to drive the best outcomes
- A self-motivated person who can articulate their vision and roadmaps and then lead the teams to achieve it.
