Hales Group are working with our large client, a Property Management company, based in Norwich. they are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join their growing team.

Primary responsibility for supply analysis, sourcing, tendering, contract implementation and development of defined company spend categories. Focusing on the achievement of optimum value delivery and the development of supplier and stakeholder relationships.

Key Accountability & Responsibilities
- Goals and objectives to deliver value leadership, innovation, service excellence with process and product improvement.
- Supplier engagement; selection, evaluation, contracting and ongoing management.
- To develop and implement sourcing and category plans aligned to category needs across the company.
- Implementation of initiatives, through effective program and project management.
- Provide regular market analysis, benchmark data and supplier evaluation, to support category planning and risk management.
- Focus and presence balanced between Procurement Team and relevant operational teams to ensure effective integration, delivery and pro-active development of stakeholder relationships.
- Responsible for supplier performance management and continuous improvement to ensure contracts meet and exceed business objectives.
- Provide support and advice in the sourcing of new solutions and materials.
- Provide volume and price forecasts for budget and forecasting processes.
- Responsible for performance reporting.
- Ensure compliance company procurement policy and Public Procurement process where relevant.
- Constantly analyse and assess opportunities for commercial advantage.
- To engage and negotiate confidently and competently with supply chain, internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage contracts and ensure adherence to terms.
- Take full ownership of Categories under their control

Essential and Desirable Experience
- Hold or be working towards a MCIPS or equivalent procurement qualifications
- Business Management Qualification
- Knowledge of beginning to end supply chains, production and logistics
- In-depth, relevant category knowledge.
- Understanding of strategic sourcing tools and techniques
- Good, working knowledge of procurement performance measures, processes, and contracts
- Proven strategic procurement background gained in FMCG/logistics/material management environment
- Sourcing and category planning/management
- Considerable experience across all aspects of procurement
- An articulate communicator, confident liaising with decision makers at all levels with strong networking and negotiation skills and with the ability to inform, persuade and influence.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills demonstrating credibility and gravitas with the ability to engage effectively, at all levels with multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical with innovative problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Full driving licence required.
