**The Role**

Hutchison Ports (UK) - Port of Felixstowe is the largest deep-water Port in the UK and with a significant percentage of Britain’s imports and exports being moved through the Port of Felixstowe, it’s fair to say that we play a large part in the UK’s logisticschain. Most cargo is dispatched on a 'Just in time’ basis with little margin for error; this means that our Operations Delivery team require a unique combination of planning, communication, practical, technical and leadership skills.
To maintain our position as the Port of Britain we are looking to invest in future Managers to both lead and challenge our Operations teams. We’re offering a three-year rotational graduate programme, which is designed around enabling you to get as much experienceas possible, whilst providing you with the opportunity to stretch and challenge yourself across various placements within our business.

**Operations Delivery**

Supported by a world class team, you will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills in all aspects of our logistics operation giving you a solid grounding in operations delivery, engineering planning, commercial, finance and quality assurance. Workingclosely with the Senior Leadership team, you will lead and embed continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen our processes and improve performance against our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

**Key Activities**
- Your learning experiences will include job shadowing, customer visits, attending meetings, spending time with your mentor and getting involved in real work, like data analysis, planning, project management and review.
- Drive a variety of projects and initiatives to continuously develop what we do and drive efficiency and customer service.
- Lead and develop our front-line operational teams to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance.
- Provide direct support, engagement and performance management to the Operations teams.
- Deliver regular written and verbal presentations across all levels of the Operations Team reporting on progress and responding to feedback.
- Build proficient knowledge in the use and functions of the Port of Felixstowe’s core management systems, processes and Terminal Operating Systems.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for graduates with a positive, proactive and can-do attitude, who have the confidence to take the initiative, make decisions and see them through to successful completion. They will need analytical and problem-solving skills to strategicallyevaluate how we can improve our operation and will need be too able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, and ideally, have some experience of managing people or teams.

Suitable applicants should meet the following criteria:
**Skills**:

- Planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver day to day tasks.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple tasks and responsibilities in accordance with agreed project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to understand complex issues to carry out problem solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team and with stakeholders.

**Knowledge**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or non-UK equivalent) in any discipline
- IT knowledge including; Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent
