An opportunity has arisen to join the Older Peoples Service & Transfer of Care Hub team at Colchester Hospital as an Operational Co-ordinator. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the department, highlighting any issues to the Service Manager.

This is a rewarding role; ensuring that our services are safely covered over a 24/7 period; working closely with specialities and members of the clinical teams.

This opportunity will allow you to play a major role in the continuing development of service delivery for the benefit of our patients where care and compassion are central to everything we do.

- Line Manager responsibility for administration colleagues in Older People’s Services/ TOCH highlighting and issues to Service Managers / Clinical leads ensuring that a high quality comprehensive administrative service is delivered.
- Oversight of 18 week - PTL, including outpatient clinics and utilising consultant time
- Responsibility for supporting Service Manager / Clinical Leads to ensure day-to-day activity runs smoothly liaising with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Working in partnership with the Clinical Leads and Service Managers to support Older People’s Services/ TOCH
- Coordinate the preparation, distribution and submission of project and programme management documentation for purposes of performance monitoring and reporting.One of the largest Trust’s in East Anglia, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provide hospital and community health services to people living across a wide geographical area. - Operational coordinator takes full responsibility for the day to day line management of administration services in Older People’s Services/ TOCH
- Provide leadership to the administration team ensuring a high quality comprehensive administration service is delivered.
- Supporting Service Managers to develop and maintain KPI’s enabling the TOCH to meet the requirements DOH hospital discharge policy and Older People’s Services
- Support Service Managers to develop tools, including dashboard to measure performance against KPI for use of performance management and data analysis.
- Accountability for monitoring, assessing and reporting on performance within the Older People’s Services/ TOCH; recognising and highlighting and recognising any issues to the Clinical Leads / Service Managers
- Deputise in the absence of Service Managers
